February Lady Sweater Class

Learn how to make the sweater over 2000 Ravelers have made ! Its unprecedented popularity is no doubt due to the simple top-down pattern (easy to adjust as you go), minimal finishing and beginner-perfect lace pattern. So take this class to learn the basics of top-down sweater making, sweater sizing and lace knitting basics.

Class 1:

Bring 4" x 4" swatch in garter stitch. We'll calculate your gauge and do the sizing and you'll begin the yoke construction in class.

Class 2:

Return with yoke completed and learn how to separate the sleeves from the body, and begin the lace work on the body.

Class 3:

Return with body completed and learn how to work the sleeves and finish off the sweater.

Materials (most available at The Grove)

1. 750-1400 yds of worsted weight yarn (exact yardage depends upon sweater size) Please check the Calendar for dates and times yarn expert is available at shop to help you pick-out your yarn beforehand. There are many, many choices!
2. personal printout of February Lady Sweater free pattern (not provided by store)
3. 32" circular needle and double-pointed needles in size needed to obtain gauge
4. 1 needle one size larger than main needles for bind-offs
5. split ring markers
6. three 7/8" buttons
