Beach Beanie 1 - 4:00 PM Sunday 29 April: $25

Learn to knit a simple beach beanie. Perfect class for those who have completed the scarf class and want to learn the purl stitch. Pattern provided. (Instructor Susan Wells) Materials available for purchase: 2 skeins of Louisa Harding's Monte Carlos, size #7 US straight needles. Bring a calculator, tape measure and paper & pencil. Beginner's Scarf 2 - 4:30 PM Saturdays 21 & 28 April; OR 6:30 - 9 PM Wednesdays 18 & 25 April: $40 for 2 sessions

If you haven't learned yet, it's time! We'll teach you to cast on and knit during Part One. Part Two: return to complete your scarf and fringe it if you wish. Wear it home! Introduction to Lace 1 AM - 4 PM Saturday 7 April: $25

Learn the beautiful yet simple Fan & Feather stitch composed of three rows of stockinette stitch and only one row of pattern. Depending on your yarn weight, you can create a scarf, shawl, or afghan! One Hour Flower 11 AM - 12 noon Saturday 14 April: $25 (includes kit)

Learn the fundamentals of working with wired ribbon by making a gathered rosette with button center and a leaf. This is a great beginning ribbon project. Be forewarned: Once you make one rosette, you won't want to stop! Materials available day of class. (Instructor Christen Brown) Skill Level: Beginner

Pattern Reading 3 - 4 PM Sunday 15 April: $25

This is a class for students who know how to knit and purl but are too intimidated to take on a pattern. Dave will help you decipher the abbreviations and provide you with essential pattern-reading skills. There will be nothing stopping you from knitting garments after taking this class. This class will introduce you to 8 hand-stitched flowers made from a variety of ribbons such as French wire, dyed silk bias, and satin. These flowers can be made into corsages or used to decorate baskets and gifts. Everyone enjoys a handmade flower! (Instructor Christen Brown) Skill Level: Easy

In the event The Grove must cancel a class due to lack of participants, The Grove will issue a full refund. Participants who are unable to attend as planned must notify The Grove within five (5) days of the class in order to receive a refund, otherwise the class fee is forfeited. Fees cannot be applied to future classes.
