recycled sarong yarnMango Moon Yarn's founder, Amana Nova, has discovered ways to recycle discarded threads from the fringe on sarongs & scarves into delightful viscose, silk and other natural fiber hand-knitting yarns. This incredible woman has also established cooperatives in Nepal and Indonesia where women are trained to dye and spin yarns to lift themselves out of poverty. Amana will bring an assortment of Mango Moon's yarns and notions which will be available for purchase through Sunday, March 18th. Don't miss the opportunity to meet this innovator who is changing the world of women, one hank at a time. Light refreshments will be served. MangoMoonYarns.com

Capelet Saturday 10 March: 1:00 - 4:00 PM $25 (includes pattern)
Learn to shape a garment with short rows using 100% hemp to knit this stylish capelet. This garter stitch piece is knit side to side and has a subtle scallop edge along the bottom. While we won't be able to finish this in one class, you will leave having the pattern established and knowing exactly how to complete it. Materials: US #10 circular needle 24" length, 3 - 4 skeins Allhemp 6, and 2 buttons. (Instructor Susan Wells) Skill Level: Easy (ability to knit and purl)
Felted Bag Saturdays 24 & 31 March: 11 AM - 1:30 PM $45 (includes pattern)
This is a terrific opportunity to learn the seamless Turkish Cast-On, to make those cute decorative bobbles, and bind off by using an I-Cord finishing technique. In Class One, cast on and knit a gradual increase to provide shape to the bottom of the bag. In Class Two, return ready to knit the bobbles, bind-off, and knit & braid the I-cord handles. Felting will be done at home, but we'll provide you with the know-how and encouragement you'll need! (Instructor Susan Wells) Skill Level: Intermediate (ability to knit and purl)

PMC Pendant Sunday 11 March: 1 - 4300 PM $115 (includes materials & use of tools)
If you haven't seen our collection of Precious Metal Clay pendants and earrings, you must stop by. PMC looks a lot like sterling silver, except it is brighter and more malleable so that you can create incredibly interesting shapes, imprints, and more! Learn the history and origins of PMC in this class while you complete your own pendant. Taught by our resident artisan jewelers, this class will introduce you to a whole new world in jewelry making. No experience necessary. (Instructors Carol Brown & Bea Barabas) Skill Level: Beginner
